Chye Music Warranty Terms and Conditions
Thank you for your interest in Chye Music products and services.
Our Warranty Policy
- Your product warranty is valid only for a limited selection of products purchased at all Chye Music physical and online stores.
- Our warranty is valid only for the original purchaser (“you”) and is non-transferable. Customers must provide proof of purchase to receive warranty service. A receipt is the only acceptable proof of purchase.
- Goods sold and delivered are non-refundable and non-exchangeable (except for damaged products).
- The warranty period shall commence from the purchase date specified on the warranty invoice and may vary for products sold during promotions and/or special offers.
The warranty covers all manufacturing defects, except for the following:
- Instruments not purchased at Chye Music branches or online.
- Instruments that have been repaired, modified, altered, or disassembled by unauthorized personnel (anyone other than Chye Music technicians or employees).
- Instruments damaged due to exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, sunlight, water, or failure to store the product in a safe and appropriate environment.
- Products that have been lost, altered, tampered with, defaced, or whose serial number has been removed in any way under any circumstances.
- Any damage resulting from accidental damage (including drops and spills), negligence, modifications, improper maintenance, or misuse of the instrument.
- Any defects involving subjective opinions and judgments, such as instrument characteristics, grain patterns, wood color, or pickup tone.
- Wear and tear on products, including but not limited to discoloration, fading, or damage to the original finish, strings, tuners, jacks, controllers, switches, speakers, vacuum tubes, hardware, and plating corrosion or rust.
- Accessories for acoustic or classical guitars, such as strings, straps, picks, tuner scratches, drum accessories, drum heads, sticks, mixers, springs or straps, bags, discount sale items, display stock sales, used collectibles, and custom products are not covered by the warranty.
- Media-related items such as any type of software, downloadable products, electrical items such as fuses, adapters, batteries, knobs, cabinets, covers, remote devices, grille components, power adapters, light bulbs, music stands, cables, etc., store giveaway items like headphones, dust covers, book clamps, etc., brass and woodwind accessories, stringed instrument accessories, percussion accessories, and piano heaters are not covered by the warranty.
- In all cases, our technicians will assess the product to determine if it qualifies for a warranty claim. If the defect or damage is found to fall under the situations outlined in Clause 9 above, the warranty claim will be invalid and denied. All decisions made by our technicians are final and binding on you.
- All incidental costs, such as consumable fees, transportation, or delivery charges to and from us, will be borne by the customer.
- Upon receiving our notification, you will promptly collect the product. You agree that any product not collected after six (6) months will be considered abandoned, and we may dispose of the product in any manner we deem fit, without further notice to you. We may also claim any damages from you, including any fees for storing the product. We reserve a lien on the product for any unpaid fees.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
